History

Africa Strategy’s leadership brings more than three decades of experience at the highest levels of African governance, business, and civil society. Our team has advised heads of state, guided development finance institutions, counselled multinational corporations, and championed transformative change across the continent.

Response to Demand

Africa Strategy was founded in response to the considerable demand from major international corporates and international development partners for authentic and pragmatic advice, grounded in experience, on how best to manage risk and identify opportunities in key African markets.

2024

Africa PowerMap

We started building the Africa PowerMap platform mapping economic, political and power networks across Africa. It provides real-time intelligence, risk alerts and stakeholder insights.

2025

New Advisory Mandates

We advised a major philanthropy on its Africa entry strategy for support to government energy transitions and mainstreaming climate action. We facilitated major cross-border investments and partnerships in the energy, mining and fintech sectors.
